Surreal, biological and anatomical landscape painting. Contains biological elements from the ocean such as radiolarians, and a comb-jellyfish at center. The landscape itself is based on a cross-section of the liver, as well as vein-like structures winding off into the distance like rivers.

The concepts behind this painting are difficult to sum up. As with all of my work I invite you to see what you see. I did have some things in mind however. First of all, as far as the title goes, it touches on the creation vs. evolution "battle", but rather than "vs" I chose "of". Why couldn't evolution be a means of creation? I not only attempt to entice the viewer to think about this conundrum specifically but others like it. Science and spirituality don't need to oppose each other. Opposites are often two sides of the same coin. Also, the hills in the background (left and right) represent how different landscapes are carved by different streams, not only literally but also figuratively. For example, in a person. We are all different and have been "carved" by different "streams", or experiences.
